Supporting Positive Change in City Heights
Elaine Holman returned to Southern California after living in San Jose, then in the High Desert area, near Edwards Air Force Base. She studied Organizational Behavior at the University of San Francisco and received her Bachelor’s degree, while working full time at one of the largest banks in the nation. She moved to working with credit unions after embracing their motto of “Not for profit, not for charity, but
for Service”. Passionate about helping others, the move to Self Help Federal Credit Union was a natural fit. Elaine says the mission of Self Help caught her attention when she read: Creating Economic Opportunity for All. She is the San Diego Area Manager for Self Help, her branch is located in City Heights, which opened in January 2017. In her free time, Elaine loves to read, try out new recipes, travel
and spend time with her family. She has volunteered as a mentor to high school students and recently completed serving as a Commissioner in the city of Murrieta. She currently serves as Treasurer for the City Heights Business Association.
