Caliph Assagai is a motivational speaker, entrepreneur, attorney, and life coach. He is the founder of Public Interest Advocacy, a Sacramento-based lobbying firm that serves non-profit clients focused on social and criminal justice reform.
Caliph completed his undergraduate studies at UC Davis, where he earned his B.A. in Political Science, with minors in Sociology and African American Studies. As a junior, he served as the President of the Associated Students. He is a member of the UCLA School of Law Class of 2012, where he earned specializations in Critical Race Studies and Public Interest Law & Policy.
While attending UCLA, Caliph worked in the Academic Outreach Office as a Professional Graduate Mentor. In this role, he counseled hundreds of first-generation students and students of color on admission into law school. He now works as a college & youth motivational speaker, speaking to students around the country about success in college and in life.
